  Demelza House Children’s Hospice Grant

During 2005 the Freemasons’ Grand Charity gave grants ranging from £500 to £9,000 to 217 individual hospices throughout England and Wales, totalling £502,600.

Since 1984 the Grand Charity has donated over £5.9 million to hospices for their annual running costs. Six hospices in East Kent benefited this year from the funds, including Demelza House Children’s Hospice which received a grant of £1200. The cheque which was presented by WBro Malcolm Cheeseman, Chairman of the Area Charity Committee and WBro Tony Elliott Area Information Officer for Swale, was accepted on behalf of the Demelza House Fundraising Team by Alison Knott.
