  1765 and All That

Members of the Lodge of Freedom No.77 and their guests were entertained to a demonstration of an Initiation Ceremony circa 1765, given by the players of the Central Telecommunications Office and Telecommunications Masonic Association (CTO).

When the players first arrived to perform their enactment, they were found to be one short and requested a stand-in. Past Master WBro Christopher Wilson volunteered to make up the numbers and everyone agreed he did a splendid job. Ninety three Brethren attended the meeting, raising the sum of £410 for charity, which was pledged to the Worshipful Master’s list in the name of the CTO who have now raised in excess of £40,000 for charity.

WBro Reginald Walter PSGD,APGM replying on behalf of the guests and visitors at the Festive Board expressed the thoughts of everyone that it was an excellent and informative demonstration which enlightened the minds of those present.
