Lavender Farm fishery near Faversham was the venue for this year’s freshwater fishing competition on Father’s Day, 18th June.

Six Lodges were locked in combat in an endeavour to wrest the trophy away from twice winners Manor of Chatham Lodge , and new entrants Richard Watts Lodge showed how it should be done, weighing in an impressive 59lb 6oz to take first place. Manor of Chatham held second place with 49lb 6oz, and in third place were Balmoral Lodge with 24lb 9oz. Middleton Manor, Manor of Gillingham, and Phoenix Lodges were 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. The largest single fish of the day was an 8lb carp caught by R Drury.

Organiser WBro Steve Allen of Balmoral Lodge No.7118 would like to thank all those who took part for their support in adding £150 to charitable funds.
