Relief - Medway Committee)and WBro Richard Jones |
In November 2000 when WBro Roy White was
Installed as Worshipful Master of the Rochester Castle Lodge
No.9260, he was suffering from oesophageal cancer and undergoing
regular chemotherapy.
Now in remission from the disease, WBro Roy
maintains that it was the loving care of his family and the
support of his fraternal Brethren that helped him win his
long battle. It was his great zest for life coupled with his
wish to acknowledge the good work done by the Macmillan Nurses
that prompted him to take part in a sponsored parachute jump
at Headcorn Aerodrome, where he raised £1,000 for the
charity. His brave determination is an inspiration to us all.
