Bro Peter Dryburgh & WBro Thomas Ashton

The 56th Installation Meeting of Allington Lodge No.7086 was a colourful occasion which saw Bro Thomas Ashton Installed as Worshipful Master. Californian born Thomas, in memory of his late step-father, wore full Highland dress in the Lamont tartan, and was closely supported by his Senior Warden, Scotsman Bro Peter Dryburgh, who also wore Highland dress.

To add to the cosmopolitan occasion, WBro Gary Chapman, who is himself American, was appointed as Secretary of the Lodge, replacing WBro George White who had served the Lodge in that capacity for 21 years. WBro White, along with WBros Peter Morris and Ron Amphlett who have served the Lodge for seventeen and nineteen years as Treasurer and Almoner respectively, were later each presented with half-hunter fob watches.
