Foetal Heart Monitors enable medical staff to listen to the heartbeat of unborn babies, and are a much needed resource at maternity centres around the Province. Buckland Hospital is no exception, so they were delighted to receive the magnificent sum of £4,800 from members of the Dover based Snar Gate Lodge No.6770, which has enabled them to purchase just such a monitor. Raised from personal donations and the proceedings of the October Ladies Festival, the money was presented by the Lodge’s Worshipful Master WBro Gerry Stupple and his wife Angie, to Ms Lindsey Stevens, the Assistant Head of Midwifery for the East Kent NHS Trust.
