Many Lodge members across the Province
enhance their enjoyment of Freemasonry by being active within
other Masonic Orders. From time to time we receive news from
them, and whilst this publication is not a forum for the promotion
of such Orders, we nevertheless acknowledge the part they
play, and are pleased to allocate a little space for their
reports when available.
Here is a nice report from one of those Orders,
the full title of which is “The Masonic and Military
Order of the Red Cross of Constantine and the Orders of the
Holy Sepulchre and of St John the Evangelist”. Colloquially
it is referred to as “The Red Cross of Constantine”.
The Order has seventeen Conclaves meeting within Kent, and
relates a period in history under Constantine the Great, who
was Roman Emperor in AD 313. For further information about
the Order please contact the Divisional Recorder Reg Smith
on 01634 300598 or at rs006e0523@blueyonder.co.uk

Pentangle Conclave No147, Rochester. The members
having agreed that £1000 of the Conclave’s charity
money should be dispersed to worthy causes, the Most Puissant
Sovereign Alan Woodcock, and the Recorder of the Conclave
Reg Smith, visited The Kent Autistic Trust in Gillingham,
to present a cheque for £250. Further cheques of £250
each, were donated to the Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing
Club, the Kent Venture Boat (see issue 44. Ed), and the Sickle
Cell Society, each being poorly recognised organisations that
do a tremendous amount of work within the and Salmon Fishing
Club, the local community.
